Coding Is Table Stakes
Thinking Is Still The Skill

Think with Data is a live, online cohort built to prove that - before a single tool ever opens.
AI writes the formula now. Copilots build the dashboard. The tool stopped being the hard part a while ago - knowing what to ask it never did. This program trains the one skill that's still entirely yours, over 25 live sessions, 100% online.

The Spine of the Program

Thinking Is Taught
Tools Are Introduced

Business Problem Analytical Thinking Data Tools Business Decision

Most courses start with the tool and hope the thinking follows. This program does the opposite. Students learn to think with data first - on a whiteboard, with nothing but reasoning - before any software enters the room. Tools are introduced later, and only ever to do the one thing they're actually good for: processing more data, faster.

The Real Skill

Coding Was The Skill
Now It's Table Stakes

AI copilots write the formula. Tools build the dashboard. LLMs generate the code. Execution - the part every other course teaches - is getting commoditized in real time. What's left, and what's scarce, is knowing what to ask, what to measure, and what a number actually means for a business.

This is still the most importanttool in the room - a marker,a blank board, and a questionworth asking
Getting Automated
  • Writing Excel formulas
  • Building a dashboard from a dataset
  • Writing SQL or Python to pull data
  • Cleaning and formatting a spreadsheet
  • Generating a chart from a prompt
Still Entirely Human
  • Framing the right business problem
  • Deciding what's actually worth measuring
  • Spotting when a number is lying to you
  • Turning an insight into a recommendation
  • Knowing when the data isn't the answer

This program is built backwards from that reality. Tools are taught last because they matter least. Thinking is taught first because it's the only part of this job that isn't getting automated.

Curriculum

Five Phases
One Business Universe

Every phase builds on the last - the same six companies, escalating problems, no reset button.

Phase 01 & 02Analytical Thinking + Whiteboard Case Studies10 sessions · 4 weeks · No software

Every session opens with a real business problem. Students frame it, question it, and decide what data would even help - before any tool is involved. Session 1 goes furthest back of all: before any company is even introduced, students learn what data analysis actually is, the Why-What-How framework, and where an analyst sits in the wider analytics pipeline. From there, all ten sessions run as discussion, live polls, and structured reasoning against the six recurring companies. By the end of Phase 2, students have proven the thinking works - with zero software involved.

Phase 03AExcelIntroduced only once the thinking is already built

Excel enters not as "the place where analysis happens" but as a processing tool - a way to handle data too large to work through by hand. The analytical mindset stays exactly what Phases 1 and 2 already built; Excel just gives it something to run against.

Phase 03B / 04Power BIIntroduced only after Excel-based diagnosis is second nature

Power BI is the output layer, not a new way of thinking. It exists purely to make analysis interactive and shareable - presenting a conclusion the student already reached, not helping them find one.

Phase 05CapstoneSelf-directed · Excel + Power BI

A self-directed project spanning both tools, built against an escalated version of the six-company universe. This is where "thinking first" gets tested end to end - without a session structure to lean on.

The Road Ahead

What you'll learn here -
and where to go next

This program deliberately covers two tools: Excel and Power BI - just enough to prove the thinking works end to end. Once that judgment is built, picking up the next tool is a matter of weeks, not months. Here's the road, if you want to keep walking it.

Outcome

Leave With A Portfolio
Not Just A Certificate

Every student graduates with three resume-ready projects.

01Excel

Sales Diagnostic

A cleaned, Excel-based sales diagnostic - built on real-world messy data, not a tidy sample file.

02Power BI

Executive Dashboard

An interactive Power BI dashboard built to present a conclusion you already reached - not to help you find one.

03Capstone

Self-Directed Project

A capstone spanning both tools, against an escalated version of the six-company universe.

Each one ships with a written business recommendation - not just a chart. That's the actual deliverable this program is built around: not “I made a dashboard,” but “I looked at a problem and told a business what to do about it.”
Why This Program Changes Things

Five reasons this isn't another Excel course

01

Thinking Is Taught Before Any Tool Exists

Session 1 doesn't introduce a company, a dataset, or software - it teaches what data analysis actually is and where an analyst sits in the pipeline. Every other program skips straight to "open Excel."

02

Ten Sessions, Zero Software

Four weeks of whiteboard reasoning against real business problems before a single spreadsheet opens. If you can't structure the problem out loud, you don't understand it yet - you've just found a chart that looks plausible.

03

Tools Introduced for What They're Actually For

Excel shows up to process data too large to handle by hand. Power BI shows up to make an already-reached conclusion interactive and shareable. Neither is ever taught as "where the thinking happens" - because it isn't.

04

One Business Universe, Escalating Stakes

Six recurring companies, six named stakeholders, problems that build across the program instead of resetting every session. By the capstone, you're not meeting a new dataset - you're solving the next problem in a business you already know.

05

A Portfolio That Proves Judgment, Not Just Output

Three projects, each with a written recommendation attached. Not "here's a chart" - "here's what the business should do, and why."

The Gap This Closes

88%

of business leaders say basic data literacy is now essential to day-to-day work - yet 60% report a skills gap in their organization.
SOURCE - DataCamp / YouGov, 2026 State of Data & AI Literacy Report

That gap isn't about access to tools - most professionals already have Excel, Power BI, even AI copilots that write formulas for them. What's missing is the judgment to ask the right question before opening any of them. This program builds that judgment first, deliberately, before a single tool enters the room.

17 Years of Experience. One Strong Belief.

With 17 years of corporate experience across MNCs, fintech, EdTech, SaaS, consulting, banking, wealth management, and government, Parul had seen the same gap repeatedly: People who know Excel, Power BI, Python and AI - but still struggle to define the question they are solving.

Think with Data was built to fix that.

We believe facts that cannot be represented in numbers are often not understood deeply enough. Because analysis isn't about a tool. Analysis can happen anywhere - you just need to learn to think with data.

Think with Data starts before the tool.
